You can meet the therapist of your choice and see if they feel like the right fit for you before diving in.

How do you approach therapy in Ohio and Kentucky?

Getting to know you…

The first session is all about discussing what brought you to therapy. And, why now is the right time to seek therapy. We want to understand where things began and how you got to the current place. During this session, we do a lot of listening and asking a ton of questions about you. We want to have a full understanding of your situation to help us create a therapy plan tailored to your needs.

Understanding your past…

If helpful, the second session is about collecting more history about your upbringing, sexual history, and relationship history. Our goal is to understand you in context and figure out the core of what is happening. It’s critical to understand where we are coming from to help guide where we are going. We want therapy with us to create lifelong impacts for you, not only be a quick band-aid.

Starting your journey…

Starting in the third session we begin your journey. Now, the therapist has a better assessment of the situation. So, they will be able to help you set up a clear game plan for moving forward. “When therapy is done what would you hope to have had accomplished?” This allows for you and the therapist to be on the same page with what you’ll be working on. By doing so, you’ll know that you’ve arrived at the place you want to be.
